A primary advantage of IP-based video is that it can generally run on the existing network infrastructures in most business facilities.

While deployment solutions will vary based on the existing equipment, many customers find that current networks can be adapted easily to add video applications.  Once the camera locations and bandwidth requirements for video are determined, tuning of the network for QoS (Quality of Service) can generally be addressed with minimal upgrades.
